Don’t Let DEI Die: Five Strategies to Revive DEI to Impact Employee Engagement and Business Success
Skip to content

We must be diligent, intentional, and empowered to lead conversations to keep DEI foundational to organizational culture as core values that positively affect employee experiences, workplace engagements, and business strategies.

This session will also explore how generational diversity affects DEI and how you can rethink these values to embed them into the fabric of the organization organically.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn how to shift from DEI to ABIDE (access, belonging, inclusion, diversity, and equity) as a holistic and integrated approach to running the business.
  • Learn the framework for being an HR cultural architect to impact change as a transformational HR professional or leader.
  • Identify other forms of diversity that can negatively influence the organization.
  • Understand how to work with various generations in the workplace and how they affect ABIDE.
  • Learn skills to address uncomfortable conversations about DEI/ABIDE.

Speaker:

Lori Gentles and Lisa Sanchez

Lori Gentles and Lisa M. Sánchez are co-founders of The Positive Platform (TPP). As authors, life/career coaches and Human Resources (HR) executives with a combined 59+ years of experience, TPP folds this bandwidth of knowledge into educational and leadership programs for HR professionals and organizational leaders from the frontline to the C-suite. We know what impacts employee productivity, experiences, and engagements and how that translates to organizational profitability and reputational capital. That is why our programs and consultancy are centered in strengthening organizational culture through ABIDE (access, belonging, inclusion, diversity, and equity). In our signature program, “Leading Through the Lens of ABIDE,” we help organizations move beyond traditional diversity, equity and inclusion. We facilitate interactive and provocative conversations to elicit self and organizational discovery and identify practical ways to embed these principles into everyday business practices. Building upon the educational branch of TPP, we conduct assessments to evaluate HR and organizational structures, systems, policies and practices and recommend next-level actions to achieve sustainable change.
