Both the manager and their direct reports often experience frustration, anxiety, and tension because the manager doesn’t have the basic skills to lead a team and supervise people.

Suzi Sosa

Suzi Sosa is the co-founder of Verb, an online learning and development platform focused on helping first-time managers develop the skills they need to be successful in their roles. Verb’s action-based online training included manager basics, leadership development and inclusive leadership. Verb served customers of all sizes and industries, including global brands like Meta, Salesforce, CHANEL and Whole Foods Market. Verb was acquired by Paycor in May 2023 and the platform has been integrated into Paycor Paths. Prior to Verb Suzi co-founded several other social enterprises and was the recipient of the 2014 Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Suzi has a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. in the Plan II Honors Program from UT Austin.
