James Schwantes is a Compliance Analyst with a legal and tax background. Prior to working at Paycor in the Tax and Compliance departments, he served as an attorney in Cincinnati focusing on antitrust, ERISA, and business litigation. He is a member of local and national chapters of the APA and the Ohio and federal bar associations.

Steve Sauer is the Senior Manager of Product Compliance at Paycor. Throughout his 20 years in the industry, Steve’s primary focus has been on tax filing and electronic reconciliation compliance. He managed Paycor’s tax filing and amended return teams for several years before establishing the Product Compliance team.
He has been involved in industry organizations such as the IRS Reporting Agent Forum and the National Payroll Reporting Consortium, where he collaborates with industry peers and agency leaders to drive change and process improvement.

Allison Phillips is a Senior Product Compliance Analyst with a focus in compliance communication. She has been a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) since 2018. She is also a member of the national PayrollOrg and serves as Government Liaison Officer for the local Cincinnati/NKY APA chapter.
