Paycor Honors Juneteenth as a Company Holiday

A Day to Celebrate, Reflect and Connect

The past few months, and especially the past few weeks, have been emotional for many of people, especially for those of color. In support of raising awareness and supporting our Black Associates, it’s important, that as a company, we take steps to observe and reflect on significant cultural milestones. As a result, Paycor will be closed this Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. This is an intentional choice to honor Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the day in 1865 when Texas – the last rebel state – officially abolished slavery more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Two of our Founding Guiding Principles include; Respect Diversity and Do the Right Thing. These principles serve as guideposts for how we run our business. We are encouraging our Associates to disconnect and spend time resetting and also use this time to explore what Juneteenth represents. We encourage all to use this day to continue educating yourself, to explore Black history and culture or to get out into your community and serve.

While this is a small step toward a more racially equitable community, we believe it is a step in the right direction to observe Juneteenth.

Thank you for all you do to Take Care of Each Other.

Respectfully,
